  1. I don’t think it was self-indulgent at all to talk about Cube. I’ve virtually never played Cube, and part of the reason is I’m intimidated by not knowing older cards. The way you broke things down made the format(s) seem much more approachable. Thanks and kudos!

  2. I actually really love the legendary cube. It’s really fun and I found 5 colour good stuff was far from the only deck. In particular, Grixis-based control with 2-5 creatures and BW midrange were both very fun and powerful.

  3. I love listening to you guys talk about subjects that you are passionate about. The sign off was hilarious too, both of you were on fire on this episode!

  4. Spending a whole card on lifegain is usually a bad idea. But incidental lifegain is often worthwhile if your cards are still basically following your gameplan.

Puns are like lifegain. Whether it’s a great revelation or a little link between ideas, your pun should be a natural part of the conversation.

  5. My friends and I have a good way to get around the rare-drafting element when we’re drafting together. Everyone writes down the rares/foils they open, and we get them back at the end of the draft. You don’t have to do well in order to get your expensive rare (we have prizes for that) and it’s nice and simple.
