My personal favorite holiday/Thanksgiving nontraditional dish to do is a prime rib roast instead of turkey or ham. The butchers tend to have them on sale as we get closer to winter, and it’s always such a treat that people rarely do for themselves since a roast is generally very expensive, even on sale
