For how much you guys play MTGO, I have been disappoint you have not plugged the phantom modern master drafts! 100 play point go 2-1 play again for free (get 100 play points back). This let’s me do more MM drafts and makes it more fun as there is no money drafting. No pressure to Pick a fetch and no feel bads if you open no money!
I think you missed a good teaching opportunity when talking about the beginning of combat phase. Toolcraft exemplar crewing heart of kiran is a common interaction and it is important to know how this phase works. I am disappointed to know Marshall does not have a stop on his own beginning of combat step 🙁
What common thing do people need to do in their beginning of combat step that shouldn’t just be done in their main phase?
(Toolcraft Exemplar is a single card, not a common thing…it’s a poster child for ‘set this stop manually when you are playing this specific deck.”)
You gotta be kidding me.
Hey, guys. I’m a classroom teacher at Temecula Valley High School. You guys re-kindled my love of Magic, a game I hadn’t played since Ice-Age. Now I’m collecting card donations from a local comic/game shop and teaching high-schoolers how to play in our club which meets at lunch. I just taught them how to draft, and we’ve been having a blast. Really cool to see kids learning more at lunch than they do in many of their A-G required classes. You guys rock.
At around 1:06, Marshall says “ordering the blockers if you’re the one blocking” and “Just say I need you to order your blockers and then we’ll go on to the rest of the step”, both of which make it sound like the defender orders the blockers for damage assignment. Which isn’t true, according to rule 509.2; the attacker orders the blockers, and the defender orders attackers, assuming the defender has a creature which can block multiple attackers and has done so)
