  1. I just wanted to point out that risen executioner is a zombie warrior and as a warrior is better than he appears I just noticed you guys didn’t really talk about that part. I was down on him as we’ll until I played a warrior deck were I realized he was one of the best cards in the deck.

  2. For Illusory Gains, although your opponents get to make the choice on the trigger, since you’re the creatures controller when the trigger resolves, you get the benefit of the trigger so you’d get the outcast with Gains attached and the spirit token.
It’s the same thing with Exploit. If they play an exploit creature and the Gains takes it, if they still decide to exploit, you’d get the benefit from it.

      • To be slightly more verbose than mr reynoldz – With exploit, there are two triggers, and your opponent controls the first one, ‘do I exploit’. If they do sac something, you control the second trigger, the one that actually does the thing. This is because you and your opponent each controlled the creature at the time the relevant ability was put onto the stack.

With a sandstep outcast, there’s only one trigger, which they control.

  3. Love the podcast. Listen to it just about everyday while driving. I’m interested in downloading all the episodes. Is there any way besides individually downloading them all? Thanks

  4. Sorry, catching up on podcasts here.

Descent of the Dragons may not be the best card, but in my 2HG sealed prerelease, it was hilarious. My friend picked the Atarka box, I picked the Silumgar box. He pulled the Descent of the Dragons, I had my deck packed with exploit-bait creatures. In round 4, both teams were both down to 11 life, and I had two Palace Familiars, a Youthful Scholar, and a Sultai Emissary on my side. I was waiting for exploit creatures to sacrifice one of those for value, but then my friend drew DotD. So I tell him, “blow my board up.” I get four 4/4 dragons, draw four cards, and a manifested Island. The game ended quickly.
